The curtain was made during the Sandra Gallery residency at the Arsenal Municipal Gallery in Poznan. It depicts masks from an ancient Greek theater: sad and joyful. From the folds of a heavy, draped velour hang dried pods of the Brachychiton acerifolius tree that I collected in Greece during my year-long stay in Athens. The pods have been painted, some resembling eyes with fake eyelashes attached, others teeth or ghosts with sad and happy faces scratched out.
