The series of textile installations refers to classical, figurative and theatrical scenery – I focus primarily on the representations of so-called "nature" and depictions of "natural" elements (e.g. tree, water, fire), as well as interior design elements. Each of the fabrics is both an image and an object: an idea of a tree, water, fire. It is from such elements that I built scenery for a non-existent plays.
In theatrical sceneries I am interested in the symbolic dimension of each elements – through the unspoken agreement with the viewer a piece of green material becomes a tree. Fabrics are also a kind of documentations of fictional rituals. Hence streams of melted wax, elements such as artificial hair, braids or fragments of my earlier works (pornographic centerfolds taken from the Body confetti piece).
